The Wolves are pleased to announce the signing of local 2003 born forward Jack Westhaver. The 17 year old spent each of the past two seasons with the South Island Midget program. Last season in his rookie year with major midget Westhaver posted 4-11-15 in 39 GP.

Jack’s two older brothers have each found success in local junior hockey. Andy ('01 forward) took a big step last year as a member of the Wolves posting career highs in goals, assists, and points with 16-15-31 in 41 GP and is poised to take a run at cracking a BCHL roster. Marty (’99 forward) just finished his last year in junior hockey before heading off to the NCAA’ University of Alaska-Huntsville. Marty also posted career highs as the captain of the Victoria Grizzlies in the BCHL this season with 18-26-44 in 50 GP.

GM Clay Carson had this to say on the signing of Jack Westhaver:

“Jack plays the game at a high pace. He’s an aggressive, in your face type player with a strong two-way game and playmaking ability. We’re excited to bring another Westhaver into the Wolves family to develop him and help him reach his goal of playing in the BCHL.”
