The Wolves are pleased to announce the signing of 2001 born forward Cory Mater. The 18 year old forward spent last season in the Anaheim Jr. Ducks U18 AA program posting 46 goals, and 23 assists for 69 points in 64 games.
Mater is another forward coming from a strong ducks program with aspirations of playing Junior ‘A’ hockey in Canada.
GM Clay Carson had this to say on the signing: “Cory is an interesting player because he has only been playing ice hockey for 4 years. It's impressive he has gotten to the level he’s at in such a short time. He’s very comfortable with the puck on his stick and has a high hockey IQ, as you can tell by his stat line he can put the puck in the net. I’m excited to add another highly skilled forward to our group that will fit in well with our players we have here."
