With mixed emotions the Wolves send off their 20 year old leader Cam Coutre to the SIJHL's Dryden Ice Dogs. It's not the fact that we are going to miss the VIJHL's leading points leader but the fact that Cam will be missed by the Wolves staff for his off ice contribution to the Westshore Wolves organization.
Cam came to the rink everyday with a compete level that is hard to find. When speaking with new head coach Ian Birnie about Cam's departure to JR A his response was he was happy to see Cam follow his hockey dreams noting it would have been a pleasure to coach and work with a player of his caliber and BCHL experience.
Birnie indicated that is who we are. Our job is to get our players to the next level and looking at our lineup this upcoming season we could be in this very same situation with six or more players next season. We will have to continue to do a great job of recruiting and to keep working hard to continue to keep this organization as a place where players will ask and compete hard to be part of.
The entire Wolves organization wish Cam the best of luck and will be following him during his season.
