There were plenty of smiles all being back at the rink together. Speaking with head coach Ian Birnie who conducted his first Jr. practice as a head coach said all went great. “The players worked incredibly hard and for most players every drill was new to them so they all payed close attention to the board and executed them very well at an incredibly high tempo. It was nice to see the returning players on the ice and as well to see the fire from the others that are pushing to become part of this organization.
I think this is going to lead to a very interesting main camp in mid-August where our management team are going to have to make some very hard decisions. I like the situation our club is in commented Birnie.”
